Every other month or so, and sometimes more often, students of the Creative Spirits enjoy a fun and educational Art Date.
Art Dates are typically a full-day field trip where we enjoy the company of other artists and art experiences outside the studio.
We have visited the Frist Museum of Visual Arts, Cheekwood, Vanderbilt University Fine Arts Gallery, Pryor Gallery at Columbia State, historic home Rattle and Snap, and the farms of Tennessee Amish Country. We have viewed art-related movies such as Loving Vincent and At Eternity's Gate. Plus we have an annual painting exchange, lunch in Leipers Fork at the Country Boy Restaurant, and we visit the studio of artist Jason Saunders.
Art Dates include a meal at a popular restaurant where we can discuss what we see and learn from each other. It truly is an enriching experience, and sets my classes apart from others offered.
I hope you can join us soon!
*Art Dates are for current and former students of Creative Spirits and Creative Horizons. Details of upcoming dates, times, and locations are relayed in class.
